For the past 27 years, I have fought for our way of life and have worked for positive change in our communities, having been involved in numerous causes; from 4-H to “Freedom to Farm”; from immigration reform to “Save our Dams”; from multiple political campaigns to several farming and natural resource associations.

When our State Representative position became open this past year, my family and I felt that the time had come for me to seek office. I was fortunate enough to be selected to fill the vacant position and then last fall I won the special election to finish out the term of office. My goal is to bring fresh ideas and positive solutions to State Government.

As you may know, I have always been very concerned about the viability of our natural resource industries. While I believe there are workable solutions available that will enhance economic opportunities for farming, ranching and forestry in our region, I would like to see relief from the regulatory excesses and the market destroying policies that currently hinder our success and growth in the industries that Eastern Washington families depend upon. I will work to restore the rights to the water, land and timber resources and reduce the oversight and lawsuits that threaten our ability to properly manage the resources in a responsible, beneficial and prosperous way.
